New Social Allies: Ymail + Fb + Google?

.: I am truly very very sorry, we still have no lessons from this week. There's a new errand and a new project. This post will be a quick update.

Last two days when I'm going to check my e-mails, I notice that Y!mail has a new user interface. Apart from their usual sign in username and password form, there is another two new way to sign in into our Y!mail account, one by signing in with our Facebook account, or we can sign with our Google account.

And two days before that, after coming back from a short 3 day trip, my e-mail account has been hacked! Even after carefully and frequent password change is also susceptible to account hacking, we should always be careful and be more alert when dealing with any of our internet account. Lucky me because my Y!mail account was not suspended yet...   :-(

Remember, when using free or paid e-mail service, our sensitive information should not taken for granted. Doesn't matter how secure our protection is, hackers is known as somebody who have the longest perseverance and their never-ending intruder determination. Please beware at all times.

Create an online ID.
To use all free tools available on the Net, we need to have our own ID. With minimum of two IDs, your online business registration now is much much easier. What I meant with online ID is your e-mail account. It would be nice for you to have one Yahoo! ID and one Google ID. We'll use these IDs a lot later~

Build our business space.
This blog (our internet marketing online class) prefers doing online business and e-marketing without the need to use a lot of money, or I rather say it that I love to use free reliable tools out there. Not all free tools are great (and secured), and it would be advisable for you to opt for paid services if you had more money to spent. For starters, we'll use free blog services and then the earnings later we can migrate to self-host our own blogs or sites~  ;-)

Find our market.
The most important thing about selling online is how can our online business become visible to our customers/prospects? Internet is a very big big world, it might be *impossible* for them to notice us. Luckily, we have internet giants who voluntarily helping us to show our business to them. But with a little trick and strict T&C. Better say it as 'hard work done the smart way'.

Prepare our products/services.
After finish building our business space, prepared with our chosen niche, it's time to think what we're gonna sell for our business? Are we selling products or selling our expertise? What about if we do not have anything to offer?

Attract our customers.
Now everything is ready, we need to go all out to reach our customer. Again, this is the most delicate and the most important part to ensure our business become a success. We need to attract our customer ethically, give them what they wanted so much - help to provide their problems with the best solution, consistently interacts with them, and leave them impressions about our online business.

#1: Your E-mail is Important as Your Own ID

.: Lesson #1: Register your E-mail (electronic mail).

The first internet marketing tools you'll desperately need is your e-mail. Yup, your own e-mail. E-mail is the primary tool for you, and the most wanted thing later in having your own prospect list. Register either a free account or the paid one. But if you can have your email like this [name@ your-site.com], that will be much better. It looks like a professional business, because you use your site name.

A paid e-mail account is much more secure, less spam attack (depends on your account provider), gives extra storage, plus it makes your contact information looks like a serious business. Of course, a paid service mean very serious business rite? A serious online business~~ ;-)

But, not all of us have that extra bucks in our wallet, so we can opt to use a free e-mail service. My fave? Gmail and Ymail. I use both, and created many accounts with it and use all of it ;-)
